What A Day

I just called the courthouse to see if I could get the mediation hearing rescheduled since I won't have all the documentation they want, I have to work and Trey has an IEP meeting. They wouldn't do it though. They just said to bring what I can and that I can take in the other things at a later date. So I called Trey's school to reschedule the IEP meeting. The principle wanted to know why I was rescheduling! Are you kidding?? I said, "Because we have to be in court at 11:00 and there won't be time for the IEP meeting." He said, "Oh. Good reason." Duh? Ya think? So the IEP meeting is rescheduled for the 24th at 1:30. Hope's off tomorrow though so I'll be able to take Trey to her house after the mediation. That helps, at least I won't be quite as late for work, thankfully.

I'm scheduled 12:00 to 6:00pm today, but I just got called in early so that'll help a little with making up for some of the time I'll be missing tomorrow. bleh I can't wait till all this crap is over with and settled...again.

Jerry, Cory and Jessicah are in bed and Trey's standing here telling me that grease from hamburgers can be useful in a survival situation because it can be used as sunblock. Add that to the list of things to know when stranded in a desert with hamburgers. lol

Work today was good, I'm much better at second window (handing out the food in the drive-through) which is what I did before my break. After my break I was on grill (making sandwiches) and I'm getting better at that, too. I feel a lot more comfortable doing those things than I did before. I'm really looking forward to when I can handle first window (taking orders and usually the money too). First window was always my favorite. I get to talk to people, use the register (which is really just a computer program), make up the Happy Meal bags by putting the toys in them (which for some reason I love doing) and it's not as tiring.

Carri and I are making plans to get together Wednesday and/or Thursday. We're just going to hang out, go for a ride or go for a walk. Anything will be good with me, I'm looking forward to visiting with her and doing something different. I really enjoy talking with her.

As for now, Trey's waiting for me to make him Ramen Noodles (not broken, little broth, spoon and fork, please) and I need to go get that done so he can eat and get to bed. With tomorrow being so out of the norm for him, he's going to be wound up and excited so he'll need his sleep tonight so he doesn't get tired and grouchy.

1) Describe your everyday dishes. Do you like them? My favorites are my plates with the roosters on them because they were gifts from my family and my Mom used to collect roosters so they make me think of her.

2) What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done on purpose? I'm sure I've done dangerous stuff as a teen, but it must not have been anything too dangerous because I can't think of a single thing now.

3) Whose reputation would you like to ruin, and how would you do it? And whose would you want to enhance? I can't think of anyone I'd like to do that to, either way. However, give me time (or a few drinks lol) and I'm sure I can come up with someone!

My very first thought was of Mom because when we'd get together at her house, she'd put the silverware in a cup like that to make it easier for everyone to get to.
